How to Merge PDF Files Into One Document
Sending five separate PDFs is awkward for everyone. Merging them into one file keeps things tidy and makes sure nothing gets lost. Here is how to do it quickly and safely.
Merge PDFs in four steps
You do not need desktop software. A browser-based tool can join files in seconds.
- Open the Merge PDF tool and add your files.
- Drag the files into the order you want, or use the move buttons.
- Click Merge PDF.
- Download the combined document and check the page order.
Get the page order right
Files are joined in the order they appear in the list, so fix the order before you merge. If a single page is out of place afterwards, use Reorder PDF to move it rather than starting again.
Keep the result small
Merged files can get large, especially with scans. If the result is too big to email, run it through Compress PDF. A medium preset usually keeps text readable while cutting the size noticeably.
Why privacy matters when merging
Merged documents often include contracts, ID copies or financial statements. Many online services upload them to a server. PDFora merges inside your browser, so the files never leave your device.
